Having a Few Problems Fighting The Super Bosses, huh?

Fighting Emerald Weapon

Hey, look! There's something in the water! Let's go check it out! Whoa! That guy's huge! Huh? Emerald Beam? ...!!! 7000 damage?!? What the heck? Aire Tam Storm? 9999 damage?!? Who the heck is this guy?!?

Thus, another player's curiosity becomes the end of him. Yep, we've all taken that path and learned from our folly. Underwater, you'll meet up with the first of 2 super bosses, the Emerald Weapon.

Truthfully, I didn't have too much trouble fighting either of the two super bosses in this game. Emerald Weapon has over a million HP, and has attacks that can do from 3000 up to 9999 damage to one or all characters. His Aire Tam Storm attack, his most powerful, will most likely do 9999 damage, unless it is dodged. Also, after a bit of time, he will create 4 laser pods. These may not seem hazardous, but 2 of them attack for around 3000 damage, while the other 2 attack for 100-500 MP! Not to mention, Emerald Weapon is quite fast, and can attack about 6 consecutive times once his pods come out.

To prepare for this battle, you may want the Underwater materia equipped, which stops the 20 minute timer (who can hold their breath that long?!?). Also, have one of your characters with the Knights of the Round and the W-Summon materias, as well as over 500 MP. Make sure all characters have the Mime materia, and have at least one character with a Final Attack materia joined with the Phoenix materia. Thus, if you're hit by Aire Tam Storm, you'll end up using the Phoenix Summon and reviving all the characters. You may want to power up Phoenix a bit so that you get more than one use, or use a Master Summon materia (yeah, like you'll have one at this point... unless you cheat...).

At the start of the battle, use your doubled up Knights of the Round. This will do around 180000 damage. Now, have all of your characters Mime it. When you use the Mime command, you use the last command that was done, but without using MP. Thus, you'll cast Knights of the Round over and over again. After using it a few times, his little lasers might pop out, but they'll meet a quick end from one of the Knights of the Round attacks. Unfortunately, Emerald is Likely to get you at least once with Aire Tam Storm, really screwing you up. You won't be able to Mime, for you'll Mime the Phoenix summon, so use an Elixir or the like to restore MP and use the doubled Knights of the Round spell again. Continually Mime until you chop off the rest of the monster's HP. Sure it takes a while, but hey, nobody said beating a super boss would be short.

Fighting Ruby Weapon

Well, Ruby Weapon also has over a million HP, but here's the catch; you fight him with one character! His normal attack can do around 6000 damage, his Comet 2 spell hits for 2000+ damage each hit, and his Ruby Fire attack can do 7000+. Also, he's invincible when he doesn't have his arms burrowed in the sand.

So, here's the catch; use the Master Summon materia you got from beating Emerald Weapon, along with the W-Summon spell. You'll also need an MP Absorb materia connected to Knights of the Round, or your Master Summon. You'll want an Enemy Skill materia too. Make your 2 other characters get sucked away by attacking, and have your one other character have all the materia suggested above. Or, just start the battle with your other characters dead.

You'll notice that Ruby Weapon will stick his arms into the ground. When this happens, 2 little tentacles will come up behind you. They hit for around 2000 damage, but also cause just about every status ailment there is. In short, you don't want to be hit. When they pop up behind you, use Hades on Ruby to paralyze him, then use Knights of the Round on the Tentacles. Using Knights of the Round will absorb plenty of MP (commonly over 1000), allowing you to use it 2 more times on Ruby Weapon while he's paralyzed. If you hit him without using Hades, he'll counter with an Ultima spell which does 6000+ damage. With his tentacles gone, he'll pull his arms out of the ground.

Here's the fun part. Use a spell like Mighty Guard, because you're helpless until Ruby Weapon sticks his hands in the ground again. He'll attack and use Comet 2 spells, and all you can do is heal and defend. Even Knights of the Round will do 0 damage. Once he sticks his hands in the ground again, use Hades on Ruby Weapon, and Knights of the Round on the tentacles. Then, use Knights of the Round twice more. Continually repeat the process until he's dead.

My younger brother beat Ruby a different way; amazingly, he got his max HP to be 7777. He purposely lost HP, then waited until Ruby Weapon stuck his hands in the ground. Once this happened, he used Full Cure, and bang! Continuous 7777 damage hits until he dies! Of course, this is very difficult to do... the chances are VERY low, but hey, it worked.
