Having a Few Problems Fighting The Super Bosses, huh?

Fighting Ultima Weapon

Okay, Ultima Weapon isn't the hardest of super bosses, but he's well hidden and difficult to make to if you powered up to an insanely high level like I did. Since you have to fight your way through several Ruby Dragons and Iron Giants, it could get quite messy. Since I was already at LV 100 when I came here, I had a tough time.

One of the most useful techniques is the Tonberry King's LV Down command, which halves an enemy's experience level. The Iron Giants have 96000 HP at LV 100, and can do up to 5000 damage with their attacks. To make matters worse, you'll commonly fight 2 of them. Use LV Down to reduce their attack power, then fight using your strongest attacks to finish them. The other tough monster, the Ruby Dragon, has less HP than the Iron Giants and never has any companions. He doesn't need any, though. His Flame Breath special attack can do up to 8000 damage to all characters! He also has very high speed, and has up to 89100 HP at LV 100. Again, use LV Down to prevent him from using his strongest attacks.

So you finally make it to Ultima Weapon, and it turns out he's not so tough after all. He has 160000 HP at LV 100, and can use the Ultima spell for about 3000 damage. His normal attacks and Meteor spell are quite weak as well. However, he is quite fast and has a devastating attack, the Pillar of Light, which does an instant 9999 damage to a single character, even with a barrier on. To prevent this, just revive the character or use a Hero item; you may want to save the hero type items for later, though. Make sure you steal a Three Stars item from him, and try to get Squall's Lion Heart Limit Break to connect; it will chop off almost all of his HP in a single attack.

Fighting Omega Weapon

Now this is an actual super boss! His attacks are devastating, and some can kill you regardless of your status or level! He does have a distinct pattern of attack though. He will use a couple of normal attacks, which usually do around 1200 damage, then use a Meteor spell. This isn't that bad, considering his Meteor spell only does about 500 per hit, but watch out for his next move! He'll cast a Megido Flare, which always does 9998 damage to all characters. Unless you have max HP, you will die. But that isn't all, folks! Next, he'll use his most powerful attack, the Terra Break, which does around 5000 damage to a single character. This may not sound like much, but it hits around 15 to 20 times, and on random characters, most likely killing them all. Even with max vitality, with a barrier on everyone, it can do enough damage to kill everybody. Also, he'll use Ultima on his next attack for up to 5000 damage to all characters. He will then start the process over. Not only that, but he has 1161000 HP at LV 100.

So how do you beat him? Actually, Omega is quite easy to beat. You'll need 9999 HP and at least 3 Hero items, or a Holy War item. First of all, set up Haste on all your characters, and use Meltdown to lower Omega Weapon's defence. Once he uses Meteor, use a Megalixir or a spell to heal all of your characters to full HP. Omega will then use Megido Flare, reducing everybody to a single HP. At this point, use your Hero items or Holy War to make everybody invincible. Now, start ripping out the Limit Breaks! If you have Squall, it's likely that you'll use Lion Heart quite often, for 120000+ damage. Also, Irvine will get lots of time to rip out the ammo (I was able to get off 54 shots of Fast Ammo at 3000 damage per hit), and Quistis can use an attack like Shockwave Pulsar for 20000+ damage. Rinoa might also use Wishing Star, for about 70000 damage, and Zell will get plenty of time to pull off a long combo for at least 50000 damage. With all the Limit Breaks, you should be able to finish him off before the invulnerability wears off.
